OUT WITH THE OLD – IN WITH THE NEW! Mini-grants for Teachers has undergone a major transformation. It is now Cash for Classrooms and instead of one form, there are now two options. One of them includes the possibility for purchasing technology, which we have not been able to allow before.

Leaders and Achievers Scholarships have been awarded to four GSD students! Bailey Wyatt (Taylorsville High) was awarded the $10,000 scholarship. Brianda De Leon (Granger High), Katie Smedley (Kearns High), and Stephanie Velasco (AMES at Cottonwood High) each received $1,000 scholarships. It pays to excel in school!
Be True to Your School. Some of our GSD alumni are donating to their alma maters. Here are a couple ways to help:
- "C" the Difference: Cyprus High is collecting donations to make the "C" on the mountain side permanent. If you send in a check, please make it payable to GEF (in reference area put "C" the Difference.)
- Skyline Class of '72 is accepting funds for a Scholarship. If you send in a check, please make it payable to GEF (in reference area put Skyline Class of '72 Scholarship.)
More Teacher Resources DonorsChoose.org is a non-profit organization that benefits the community and offers a convenient way for anyone to help students in need. Teachers submit projects and donors choose projects that are within their area of interest. This is a great resource for teachers who's needs may not be met by GEF Teacher Mini-grants.
