Innovative Education Grants go deeper rather than broader in order to better meet the changing needs of educators. The emphasis is to provide funds for projects that are truly innovative. Funds can be used for projects that cultivate student curiosity, challenge minds and increase learning. Two grants of $2,500 will be provided in the Fall of 2012. The grant application is on-line and must be submitted by Fall 2013. Further information to follow.
Funds cannot be used for the following:
- Food or incentives
- Fund Raisers
- Travel for Field Trips
- Service projects
- Salaries
- Capital projects
- Stipends
- Cultural events
- Tuition
Cash for Classrooms (CLICK HERE)
(this is a SAMPLE of what the application looks like. You can use it as reference while filling out the actual application above.) Cash for Classrooms replaces the mini-grant program. This grant provides funds for supplies needed by educators but not provided by the district. The funds can enhance learning in individual classrooms, grades or departments. Cash for Classrooms grants can be up to $500 for individual educators or up to $750 if two or more educators are involved. Up to $15,000 will be granted two times a year. The Fall grant application is on line and must be submitted by
Friday, February 15, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
Funds cannot be used for the following:
- Food or incentives
- Fund Raisers Travel/Field Trips/Admissions
- Equipment normally provided through district technology or media funds
- Salaries
- District technology or media funds
- Stipends
- Leveled libraries for classroom use only
- Tuition
- Cultural events
- Capital projects
- Service projects
